Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist · San Diego
Therapy for the space between two cultures.
Culturally-attuned, depth-oriented psychotherapy for Asian-American adults carrying anxiety, quiet perfectionism, and the weight of family expectations — so you can live by your own definition of a good life.
at home in themselves
You don't have to keep holding it all together
Successful on the outside, exhausted underneath.
You've done what was asked of you — the achievement, the stability, the role in the family. And still, something aches. Therapy is the place to set it down and understand it.
- You appear calm and capable, but privately you're anxious, tired, and never quite enough.
- You love your family, and you also feel the quiet cost of always meeting their expectations.
- You move between cultures fluently, yet feel fully at home in neither.
- You're the strong one everyone leans on — and you're not sure who holds you.
- Old patterns and unspoken family history keep shaping your present in ways you can feel but can't name.
- You want a life that's genuinely yours, not just one that looks right from the outside.
A different kind of therapy relationship
Depth, warmth, and cultural understanding — without having to explain yourself first.
I'm Amy Woh, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade of experience. My work sits at the intersection of psychology and culture: I help Asian-American and multicultural adults untangle anxiety, self-criticism, and intergenerational patterns so life feels less like performance and more like your own.
Together we go beyond quick fixes. Drawing on ACT, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy, we make sense of where your patterns come from and build real, lasting change — in a space where your background is understood, not explained away.
